To realize the objectives of ONE, the ONE members are migrating from the disparate HISs that are currently in use, to a common HIS platform based on the MEDITECH Expanse system. Implementation of MEDITECH Expanse is taking place in two “Waves”:

  • Wave 1 – The three (3) founding ONE hospitals went live in October 2019. These hospitals are North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC), Sault Area Hospital (SAH), and West Parry Sound Health Centre (WPSHC).
  • Wave 2 – extends the existing ONE environment to support the 20 NEON hospitals including changes to address functionality gaps and functionality enhancements and opportunities identified during the planning phase of the project. The 20 hospitals that currently participate in the NEON shared service will transition from the current NEON HIS to the ONE HIS.
